Data management and IT support

We provide data management and IT support for research projects and laboratories, from individual software solutions to complete data workflows.

Data management solutions

We design and implement solutions for managing research data throughout their lifecycle, including data acquisition, storage, metadata annotation, access, sharing, and long-term organization. Solutions can range from support for an individual laboratory to automated workflows connecting scientific instruments with data management systems.

Development of websites and web applications

We develop custom websites and web applications for research projects, scientific databases, and data analysis or visualization. This can include both the user interface and the underlying APIs, databases, and data-processing components.

Examples of applications developed or co-developed by CF BioData are available among our co-developed tools and structural bioinformatics tools.

Hosting of websites and web applications

We provide hosting and technical support for research websites and web applications. This can include deployment, updates, monitoring, maintenance, and integration with other services and research infrastructure.

One-time storage of data into a repository

We can help prepare and deposit research datasets into suitable repositories. This includes organization of the data and metadata and, where appropriate, assistance with making the dataset findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.

IT training

We provide individual and group training in areas related to research IT, data management, scientific software, and computational infrastructure. Training can be adapted to the needs of a laboratory, research group, or individual user.

CEITEC Booking system support

We provide user support and training for the CEITEC Booking system, including assistance with its use and with workflows related to the management and booking of core-facility resources.

We are part of the EU project EOSC (European Open Science Cloud), and our data management solutions follow relevant EOSC recommendations and FAIR data principles.
