We provide expert support for the analysis, validation, deposition, and interpretation of biomolecular structural data.

Analysis of structural bioinformatics data

We help with the analysis and interpretation of biomolecular structures, including proteins, protein complexes, ligands, channels and tunnels, and other structural properties. Depending on the project, the analysis may involve existing computational tools, development of custom workflows, or processing of larger structural datasets.

Support with the PDB deposition process

We provide support with the preparation and deposition of experimentally determined biomolecular structures to the Protein Data Bank. This can include guidance through the deposition process, preparation of the required data, and help with resolving issues encountered during deposition.

Individual training in the PDB/PDBe deposition process is also available through our individual trainings.

Validation of structural bioinformatics data

We help assess the quality and consistency of biomolecular structures and their ligands. This can include interpretation of PDB validation reports, identification of potential structural problems, and additional validation using specialised structural bioinformatics tools.

We also provide individual training in the interpretation of PDBe validation reports.

Training in structural bioinformatics

We provide training in structural bioinformatics for individual researchers as well as groups. Topics can include the use of structural bioinformatics software, analysis and visualisation of biomolecular structures, PDB deposition and validation, and computational resources used for structural analyses.
