ACC III featured on the cover of the 2026 NAR Web Server Issue

Atomic Charge Calculator III (ACC III), developed at CF BioData, has been featured on the cover of the 2026 Nucleic Acids Research Web Server Issue. The cover image, created by Tomáš Raček, visualises a membrane protein system using partial atomic charges calculated with ACC III, highlighting the electrostatic properties that influence molecular interactions.

ACC III provides fast calculation of partial atomic charges for a wide range of molecular systems, from small organic molecules to proteins. The new version implements 20 empirical charge-calculation methods, integrates the Mol* viewer for interactive visualisation, and supports storing calculated charges directly in mmCIF files using a formally defined extension. These features make the results easier to inspect, exchange and reuse in structural bioinformatics workflows.
